"The gate has a special place in my heart as I consider them my second born. They're a portal both literally and metaphorically. I was reading up on Threshold concepts, specifically in education, and It really got me thinking of the conscious spatially. A threshold concept can be considered to be like a portal, opening up a new and previously inaccessible way of thinking about something. It represents a transformed way of understanding, or interpreting, or viewing something without which the learner cannot progress.

'It Was A Mix Of Things' is about emancipation from outdated and exclusionary modes of being and thinking which could lead to us being able to create a world unlike the one we currently live in. One less violent.
